Allowing a crawler or publishing a fact cannot force the model to adopt a particular answer. A Claude observation should preserve the visible tool or source evidence available in the interaction. An uncited statement cannot be assigned a guessed source merely because a similar sentence exists online. Keep that provenance gap explicit and propose only source work under the client's control. Repeat the relevant buyer question after an approved correction, while recording that a later answer is a fresh observation rather than proof of a model-wide update. When live retrieval was not visible, the report should preserve the exact claim and mark its source as unresolved. Similarity to an online passage is insufficient to establish provenance, and a speculative source assignment would misdirect the correction task.
