Scope and outcome

A link on an indexed page does not inherit a guaranteed amount of authority or traffic. For an insertion, the surrounding article is part of the deliverable. Capture the relevant passage before the edit and compare it with the live version afterwards, including the destination and link attributes. The proposed sentence should improve an existing reader task rather than introduce an unsupported product claim solely to accommodate a URL. Record whether an editor changed adjacent material, because the resulting context may no longer support the original approval. Article age and previous indexation are observations to document, not guarantees that the inserted link will be discovered, retained or valued by search systems. Retain enough of the original article to evaluate the insertion in context. The reviewer should be able to identify the exact change and whether the surrounding explanation still supports it. A later publisher edit is a new observation requiring a dated record, rather than a reason to assume the original passage remains unchanged.
